Director’s Message

Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishment.

Right from the very early stage of infancy, children are taught by parents how to distinguish right from wrong. Parents endeavor is to ensure that their children inculcate etiquette and moral virtues which will guide and teach them self- control, obedience and discipline. This illustrates the fact that discipline is imperative to the development of young children who will eventually become adults. Discipline means abiding by ,or adhering to , certain rules or norms of social life. Discipline is what a person imposes on himself taking it as his duty to God ,to society , or to some other institution. It remands a strict control over an individual’s rights and privileges, which if allowed swelling uncurbed and unregulated may result in disorder and anarchy in social and political life of a country. Discipline is vital to a successful life. Without discipline army is reduced to a disordered map, democracy degenerates into monocracy and social life become chaotic and anarchical. Mahatma Gandi, The Father of Nation, has greatly stressed the need for discipline among people. If all the citizens of a country observe certain moral restrictions on themselves, the social and political life of the country will undoubtly improve. I am inspired from the ethics of Swami Vivekananda and want to share it with all the readers. Swami Vivekananda rightly said :-

“Arise! Awake ! And stop not till the goal is reached”

To be disciplined ,you must consistently take the first step towards whatever it is that you want to achieve. Make a decision to do something and then to follow through until you achieve your goal. What do you need to do to make your dreams come true ? first ,you must decide what it is that you want. Be specific; set a goal and devise a plan to achieve.

Discipline is necessary for both the teacher and the students. A teacher is the leader of his charges he must possess and maintain an intellectual and moral discipline of a high order. However learned and scholarly a teacher may be, but if his personal life he leads an indisciplined life , he will never be able to win and command the respect and obedience of students. Similarly , only dedicated and disciplined students can carve out a brilliant career for themselves and serve the motherland. Disciplined students are the pillars of a nation’s strength and with their strength of character they can lift a nation to great heights of progress,
Discipline is the key to success’ – this saying holds true for all times and for all people of all age groups but for students it hold a great value. In contemporary time there are so many temptations that can lure a student away from his basic objective in life. Those who learn the subtle art of self-discipline and self-constraint nothing can prevent them from attaining their goals in life. Let us all aim to be little more self-disciplined from henceforth. We must remember that if we inculcate discipline early in life then the later life will become smooth as the discipline is a way of life Again I want to inspire the youth by these saying of Swami Vivekakanda:- “All power is within you ,You can do Anything and Everything, Believe in that”
